ITS Acquires Metrology Lab

INSTRUMENTATION TECHNICAL SERVICES, INC. (ITS), based in West Chester, PA, has purchased Precision Measurements, Inc. (PMI), an ISO-9002 calibration and testing laboratory headquartered in Perkasie, PA.
Effective June 18, 1999, the acquisition expands ITS’ capabilities beyond calibration/repair of electronic and pneumatic process instruments and control systems. ITS will now support a full range of test standards. Additional capabilities will include mechanical, dimensional, electrical and electronic instruments.
PMI will continue to maintain their existing staff and operate from the Perkasie facility. ITS will provide additional staffing and also expand regional field services for process instruments from this location.
Over the past decade, the movement within all industries, worldwide, towards Quality Control and ISO 9000 certification has increased the need for professional calibration/certification services. FDA, EPA and other U.S. government agencies have issued compliance regulations that have further spurred this need.
Established in 1989, ITS offers a full range of support from scheduled maintenance agreements to full-time staffing.
