The ProCalV5 Field Calibrator Utility allows you to use the ProCalV5 Calibration Management Solution in conjunction with a Documenting Process Calibrator (DPC) to perform paperless calibrations on your instruments, loops and/or systems. This is implemented through use of the Field Calibrator Interface (FCINTF), as developed by the Southwest Research Institute.

This interface allows you to use this one utility for a variety of supported driver/calibrator combinations. These devices generally come with a serial port cable, which plugs into a port on the calibrator. The other end of the device is plugged into your PC's serial port.

The ProCalV5 Field Calibrator Utility also comes equipped with multiple user options.

Options include;
1. Downloading Functionality Options:

• Setup/Wrapup Messages
• User-Entered Values
• Loop Power
• Minimum Test Point Tolerance
• Temperature Standard Used for Downloaded Tasks

2. Uploading Functionality Options:

• Update instrument status
• Add Note to All Calibrations Indicating Make, Model, and Serial # of Device

3. Default/Comm Options

• Choose the correct COM port, or type in the appropriate COM port number
• Choose the calibrator you want to be loaded first upon starting up the utility

Tag List Operations
On the Main Utility Screen, the list of Tags to be downloaded provides an exact list of the items that the utility will attempt to download. It also allows you to view details about the tag like input and output ranges and signal types.

Authorize Calibration Screen
The Field Calibrator Utility for ProCalV5 contains a special feature that allows you to Authorize or Skip each Calibration result record uploaded from the device. It does this function via the Authorize Calibration Screen.
